Impressions Face & Body is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our in-center plastic surgical team. This is a dynamic, multifaceted leadership role ideal for a clinically strong nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and excels at both hands-on patient care and operational oversight.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. In this role, the RN will oversee day-to-day operations of the surgical suite, coordinate patient flow, assign and supervise clinical staff, and ensure efficient, seamless workflow throughout all surgical procedures.

This position serves as a key clinical resource, supporting surgeons and staff, managing surgical supplies and equipment, responding to urgent or emergent situations, and ensuring compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and safety standards. The RN will also act as a vital liaison between physicians, clinical staff, and management, fostering clear communication and collaboration across teams.

This leadership role blends clinical expertise with supervisory and administrative responsibilities to deliver exceptional patient experiences and uphold the highest quality surgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Supervision: Oversees all operating room staff, delegating tasks, mentoring, and ensuring competency.

• Operational Coordination: Manages patient flow, surgical scheduling, coordination of external resources, procedure room preparation, equipment readiness, and staff assignments.

• Clinical Resource: Provides expert clinical guidance, ensures adherence to best practices, and helps resolve complex patient care issues.

• Problem Solving: Addresses conflicts, manages emergencies, and handles difficult patient situations.

• Administrative Tasks: Monitors supplies, ensures patient charting is completed to accreditation standards

• Accreditation: Oversees and directs compliance with all required accreditation activities to maintain compliance.

• Patient Advocacy: Supports staff and advocates for adequate resources, while also providing direct patient care when needed.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors in nursing, or higher education

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois

• ACLS certification

• Strong clinical background in perioperative nursing.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Ability to balance direct patient care with managerial responsibilities.

• Previous experience in a Plastic Surgery or outpatient surgery center is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of Quad A Accreditation and standards
